Aperture 3 Matte printing problems
« on: September 04, 2010, 03:18:07 pm »

All,

I recently have been unable to get Aperture to print correctly to Matte paper.  I can print the same image in Photoshop CS3, with the same profile, so it appears to be an Aperture problem.  I posted to the Printer forum about it:

Has anyone printed to Matte paper through Aperture successfully?

I print with Aperture all the time, in fact because of the limitations of Aperture 2 I always used to export to Photoshop to print. These days I often print right from Aperture3. I'm printing from a Canon 9000, and the paper settings are built right in to the print driver. Under the menus in the print window, the selection bar that reads Layout, if you click on that you get print options and under selection Media and Quality or something like that, I select the media, whether it be Art Paper, Canvas or whatever, and the highest print quality and off I go. You actually have to have the print window open to make this selection.
