The Mechanics of paper thickness epson 3800
« on: August 23, 2010, 02:17:17 pm »

Hallo, I am Chris and have just joined this forum from Ireland.  I do have a question about the paper thickness setting on the 3800.  Briefly, what does it do "Physically" inside the printer.  I know that the platen gap raises the distance between paper and print nozzles, what does the paper thichness do please? (I know what its relationship is with micron/mm thickness of paper so as to avoid misunderstanding), it's just the physical mechanics of how it works in the printer itself I would need to know please.

Thankyou.
