Acrylic print info rectangles
« on: August 22, 2010, 10:37:47 am »

This isn't a high-tech question in the least:  Is there a place to get pre-cut acrylic pieces for placing print info next to a hanging print?  The ones with two holes for mounting with little nails.  A sheet of paper with printed info goes behind it.

I suppose I could buy a sheet then drill and cut, but that sounds like a mess without the right tools.  Does anyone know of a source?

My go-to source for stuff like this is Tap Plastics, www.tapplastics.com. Unfortunately I don't think they're in your neck of the woods, but try the yellow pages for plexiglass suppliers. They'll cut things to size for you for free or minimal charge.

Speaking from experience cutting plexi without a proper table saw and blade is just a recipe for frustration.
