Any news on iView Media Pro or Expression upgrades?
« on: July 27, 2010, 11:35:57 am »

Have been happily working with iView Media Pro 3 for some time now, even forgoing updating to Mac OS 10.5 so I can use it on my Mac running 10.4.  Never did get to like the Microsoft's repackaged version of Expressions Media.  Now, due to updates in Lightroom and DXo that require the Mac OS 10.5/6, I'm trying to see if anyone has experience with iView or Expression on the updated Mac 10.5.

Any information from folks using iView/Expression would be much appreciated.

If this is not an appropriate topic for this forum please advise.
Thank you.

Steve Hendrix started a thread on it:

Press release for Phase One's acquisition of Expression Media from Microsoft.

Tom, link no worky! But have read the press release. Hope it gets a overhaul.

However, I am the same as you Shashinka, still love the original iview Media Pro. Still works with Snow Leopard so not upgrade necessary. I have recently tried the Expressions version and apart from dual monitor option for 'light table' and a few cosmetic changes (not necessarily good ones!), I plan to stay with iView.

I wish some of my other 'expensive' apps worked as good and does as much! ::)
