Backlit Transparency Media

I have this job coming up for an exhibition that involves about 25 20x24 highly saturated images that they want to be printed on a backlit transparency material for a light box display.

First does anyone know what the best material is for the Z3100. Cost isn't really a factor.

Second, I used to know who fabricates the display boxes. Can anyone point me in the right direction for that?

I appreciate any experience with this,because besides using the HP clear film material, this is  the one media that I haven't gotten involved with, and now it is time.

Pictorico White Film might be an option.

I recently tested some films for LED-lightboxes on my 9900, and the one with best sharpness, contrast and saturation was Epson Displaytrans Backlight. Printed with Mk. The matt surface(the other one is glossy) is a bit easy to scratch, but nothing to deal with if you're careful.

The problem with lightboxes is the non-existence of standard for luminance and/or colortemperature.
You just have to testprint together with the box you will use in the end.

Yea, I forgot about Pictorico (now owned by Mitsubishi). I'll see if I can get some samples from them.

Sven, Thanks a lot for that... as to the new Epson material, do you think the black density approaches the range of traditional type C Duratrans? The complaint of other similar materials is that they are too flat. But this Epson one is new so I'm hoping it is improved from what we had in the past.

It's a real knockout !!
Now you have HP Z, but the figures for Ep 79/9900 are amazingly:
Gamut volume: 2.063.540
Dmax: 3.45
Black Lvalue: 1.34
White Lvalue: 99.38

Must be the "best" I've ever seen.........and I have seen a lot

I have a sample of this Epson Backlit Media which is apparently close to the same as the Hp version.

I'm TRYING to find out from HP what media setting to use ( don't even see ANY backlit media setting on their site) and TRYING to get an icc profile for the Z3100 out of them. Like pulling teeth.

Several of you guys are using this media on the Z. Can you tell me a media setting and doesn't HP have a generic profile for this stuff? I've read many reports that the clear media will not profile in the printer.  Their website is the biggest disaster that I think I've ever encountered, and their phone support as yet hasn't been able to find out either.
