L-L guide on DXO
« on: June 16, 2010, 01:01:44 am »

Hello Michael,

I enjoy your guides - have several - thank you for putting them together. I am wondering if you could co an guide on DXO?
I really like this converter and I am sure that I could still learn a lot about this piece of software?

Warm regards from rainy Munich

Siegfried

Thanks for the comment, but I doubt that we'll do one for DxO. It takes a huge amount of effort to do these tutorials (especially on the part of Chris, who does the many weeks of editing required), and unless there is a large enough universe of users to purchase it, the economies of production don't work.

Also, we need to have an expert in the program to help do the training, such as Jeff Schewe for Lightroom / Camera Raw and Photoshop, or Walter Borchenko for Capture One. I know if no one with a similar expertise in DxO.

Hello Michael,

I understand your commercial concern and I am not in a position to argue against it. I just do not know how many people are buying/using DXO.

Regarding experts: Alain Briot wrote a review ones and Keith Cooper, another member of the forum in LL wrote a very good review. I am sure there are more out there.

I cross my fingers
