Rob,
13th of may: I'm freezing !

When this surrealistic ice-age is going to end?

(Here in Spain there is a law to save energy and you can not heat after a certain date).

Uh? I never heard of such law before!

Yes, it is a law in the Madrid community  that after a certain date (not sure if it is the 1 of may) buildings that have community heating (not in the case that you have an individual heating) putting back the heating is possible but you have to do some administrative stuffs. They wanted to dissuaded the people from consuming abuse. So as it is the case in our building, everybody was freezed.
It is not that you can not do it, it is that they put it complicated in order to save energy.

There are local laws in Mallorca about the times when you are allowed to burn open fires in the countryside; if you disobey and burn out of season, you tend to find that fire-fighter planes or helicopters come around and drop people's swimming pool contents on your head, or they scoop up the Bay of Pollensa and dose you with salt water instead... very wise!

Never underestimate what you can learn in a photography forum!

I do not think "fredjeang" was referring to that kind of "heating" in his post... but I know the case of someone, who lives in a flat, and celebrated a BBQ in the middle of his living room.

Hi Eduardo

I'd make two points:

a. I think that is one of the great advantages of (the current model) LuLa - it is fairly free-form;

b. We have people in Britain who do that BBQ thing on a regular basis: they vote beyond their number for the ultra-left and are called 'squatters'. I have never heard of them being visited by either helicopters or fire-fighting Canadian aircraft, though. As a counterbalance, Civil Rights lawyers, I understand, are frequent guests to the banquets. (I think they bring their own champagne socialism with them.)

Now I understand why Edu did not know the heating law: he does not live in Spain!

Ok ok, you have Messi...we had Zidane. Wheel is turning.

Which comes as a great surprise to all those migrants from Malaga, much as it did in the 30s!

At which point I close, since I know even less about European politics than those charged with running them. And that's saying something! (The secret truth is that nobody knows about current European politics: they only know about the old stuff, pre-€, when it was in more or less manageable chunks of real estate. Now, it is in its self-induced meltdown of a marriage that was divorced from fiscal reality even before it was consumated. Speaking of consumation, we were nearly all effed, but not quite! I wish the peseta was back.)

WHAT!? Do I have to post a picture of myself, in front of a roundabout, to prove my origins!?

Eduardo

If it's the one outside the Ferry Terminal it would be a risk too far, even to prove your credentials; anyway, how would anyone know you weren't a tourist, just off the ferry, as the saying goes?

There are those would like to see the entire Barça team posing there... I do not include myself among the wishers because I know as little about football as I do about MF digital. Or probably about any form of the beast, come to think about it.

Edu, I was teasing you. Everyday here I hear that Cataluña is not Spain...so I start to think it is true.
