Phuket Thailand

I've got a couple of days off at the end of the month and will travel to Phuket Thailand.
Any advice on where to visit with landscape photography in-mind would be appreciated!

I was there for a business meeting some years ago and really don't remember much of interest in the immediate area. I think that you can take a day trip, by water, to an area that either looks like or is, the place with the rock formations that was in one of the Bond movies ("Man With the Golden Gun?). I'm sure someone else on here will know about it or you can Goggle it.

Just remember, no durian allowed in the hotel rooms

No suggestions, as I haven't been there myself, aside from the suggestion to be careful.  My father just returned from there three days ago, as events were beginning to turn.  Word is there have been additional executions since the general was taken out with a head shot, mid-interview with the New York Times and tensions are really ratcheting up.  Hopefully Phuket is far enough from the hot spots to be safe, but keep a close eye on the political situation as it seems to be quickly changing.

I was there about ten years ago, and the most photogenic part of the trip was the kayak tour around the little pointy islands in the adjacent bay (Phang Nga Bay) - incredibly photogenic!  There are probably regular big-boat tours too, if you prefer that.  If you have a car, there is also a park, Sa Nang Manora Forest Park, on the mainland not far from Phuket Island that has some very photogenic jungle.  (If you want to see examples, look at my web site [URL in my signature] under "East Asia - Thailand", and look for "Phang Nga" and "Phang Nga Bay".  However, those were taken with my old quite-out-of-alignment film-camera lens, so the image quality wasn't the greatest.)
