I am changing computers. At present I have about 20,000 photos in my LR catalog spread over 3 disks. The obvious way to deal with this is to export to a new catalog on a single external drive. However I have no real idea how large the files actually are. Iview Media Pro shows both the catalog size and the total size of all the media in the catalog. Is there any way in LR to find out the same information? The photos are spread out over 3 1tb drives but there is a considerable amount of duplication on the drives so I have no idea if a new 1tb drive would be sufficient or if I will have to look at a 2tb drive or a couple of 1tb drives.
Any ideas?
