New (?) Epson R2880 Snow Leopard driver????

Curious!!! Epson has "updated" the driver date for the R2880 on 1/4/2010. BUT, its now listed to cover thru 10.5.X, rather than the previously mentioned 10.6.x! Anyone have occasion to use the "new" driver. I have NO comfort level calling Cust Serv on Monday.  Thanks.
