You register and have access to a page with lots of product information, mainly the pricelist. You click on the link to enter the download area and it again says you need to be logged in to download the 'Free to everyone' software. But I am logged in and I can't download anything.

For the download of the plugin itself please log in. You will find the plugin for Mac OS X and Windows, the correction profiles and the manual on "Information" subpage once you are logged in.
Login area...
click on "Login area". On the next page click on "information" under "pricelist login".

Anyone of the Contax users here care to find out how to correct Contax lenses with the Alpa Corrector?
Would be nice if you would try the following values. And possibly correct them.
I just selected existing profiles and modified them… trial and error.
But so far the values seem to be not too far… at least at infinity.
I think you don't have to have a P45… any sensor with crop 1.1 should be fine as this is just an approximation anyway (still better as e.g. the distortion correction in Capture One).

Planar 80
the profile for the Rodenstock50_Sinf_v1a seem to do a pretty good job

You can also use the attached profiles.

Distagon 35
This one is hard… would be glad if someone could find out some useful values :-)
The Rodenstock HR 23 is probably not too bad as a starting point

Thanks!

I just hope you don't expect to come even close to the degree of correction that is provided for the supported back/lens combinations? It takes a little more to get these numbers.

no, no, of course I do not expect to come close. but close to PTLens or similar tools. And closer than Capture One's simplified distortion correction.

Distagon 35 on P45

capture uncorrected:

corrected in C1:

corrected with Alpa LC:

While the C1 correction is unacceptable (not only because i doesn't correct moustache distortion but also with regard to softness) the Alpa LC is not bad at all even if is not as accurate with my self-made profile for the Distagon 35 as it is for the measured LF lenses (I tried it for my 47XL with 4x stitches shifted and it is simply phantastic!).
