Leaf advertises that the Aptus-II backs allow shots to be previewed on an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch.
Has anyone tried to see if this functionality can be obtained with earlier Aptus backs? It would be great if this could be achieved and we can abandon our old iPAQs.
Incidentally, how do Aptus-II users obtain the app software for their iPhones? I cannot see such an app in the App Store. I searched under "Leaf" and "Aptus" and there is no app file for downloading from the Leaf website.

Hi Roger,
Just so it is clear, the Leaf Capture Remote iPhone/ iPod Touch App is not supposed to replace the iPaq since it is used for connecting the iPhone/ iPod to the Mac and not to the digital back. This is also why it works with any back...or rather any files that are supported by the Leaf Capture Remote Server solution.
Your shots folder can be viewed remotely regardless of whether you are actually shooting or not. You can browse through your images and check focus at 100%, colour managed, sharpened etc.
The app's first version is being submitted to Apple for final testing and if all goes well it should be available on the App store in a few weeks time. The Remote Server software will be available for download from the Leaf site at the same time.
Christmas gift maybe?
