Merging libraries

Does anyone know if this is possible yet? I have my main library on one drive (backed up elsewhere) but it is now full and I've had to create a new library for a recent shoot. I now have a larger drive and would like to merge both libraries.
Done a search around the usual traps but found no answer.

Still need a bit of clarification - my menu items are "Export as Catalog" and "Import from Catalog".
The new library comprises 6 folders - no root folder - do I repeat these steps for each folder separately?

There should be a top level folder of which all others below are associated. You could do this six times but that shouldn’t be necessary.

I have all my images in nestled folders on one main drive so perhaps, if you have LR cataloging folders all over the map, you would not see this. Its one reason I recommend keeping all images (and LR files) on a dedicated drive. Makes cloning for backup and export/import really easy and clean.

I'm nearly there. My method is to keep my single catalog  on a portable hard drive. This is shared between a laptop and a desktop (I travel a bit). All my images are stored on the same drive and are regularly backed up on four other drives. My problem begain when my working drive ran out of room. Now been replaced by a Lacie 1tb Litle Big Drive.
I do need a better file naming system though and I'm slowly working through that.
