We are running an Epson 7880 in Leopard on an Intel Box with CS4. Normally we print using soft proof and our own custom profiles. We have been noticing a banding problem using Epson Textured Fine Art paper. After updating the firmware, doing a power clean and head alignment and printing at 2880 the problem persisted. Turning off match colors in the photoshop print driver seemed to fix the issue but I don't know why that should work and if anyone is aware of noted soft proofing conflicts. my normal color workspace is ProPhoto. I normally print at 1440 with high speed off and turn off color management in the Epson driver. Any thoughts? Thanks
