In the interests of we Nikon mount camera owners who sometimes feel a bit lost here, I thought I'd mention a report in the November edition of Pro Photographer magazine (UK), about photographer George Richardson who left his medium fomat film cameras behind on a recent glamour calendar shoot in Mexico, and instead relied exclusively on a Kodak 14n.
George's personal investment in the shoot was considerable, about $50k, so it was a bit of a risk, but according to the article, it was a spectacular success. The results (some of which illustrate the article) were, he says, superb, and more importantly, the clients were delighted.
This of course is the same magazine that recently published one of the best mainstream publication comparisons between a Canon 1Ds and film, which showed conclusively that the 1Ds was better than 35mm film. But hey, that's enough about Canon, I just wanted to post a positive report about a pro and his 14n
