As Dustbak mentioned, Hasselblad has released Phocus v1.2 to the public. It is available for download from Hasselblad's worldwide and regional websites. In addition, I have attached the Phocus v1.2 readme file to give a bit more insight into the changes and improvements found in this latest version.

Good news. Any ideas when it's going to be released for PC?

Phocus 1.2 has just been released.
Am I doing something wrong, or have they actually released Phocus 1.2 without live video enabled for the H3D11-50?

I have connected the camera and made (and loaded onto the computer) a few pictures, but the "Live video" options are grayed out on the menu, and clicking on the live video button on the "Capture" menu has no effect.

My understanding is that the lack of live video in the -50 was a firmware limitation in the back itself, not Phocus.

Apparently the live video is proving rather tricky to implement on the 50 for technical reasons that are beyond me but it is certainly on the way.

I was told by my supplier that Hasselblad "Hoped that live video on the 50 would be in Phocus 1.2"

Perhaps a firmware upgrade will make Live Video work with the 50?

Is it likely that the 60 will be available and working with live video before it works on the 50?

I bought the H3D11-50 to use the DCU with my Sinar P3... the point-and-shoot-adaptor was a bonus.

Hi Dick,

Live Video is firmware based, so is not purely dependent on Phocus.  We hope to release the relevant firmware upgrade soon.

First time I have heard the H camera described as a point and shoot.

Best,

David

Hi Bob,

There is already a 1.2 version being tested amongst the beta testing crowd.

It takes a little longer to iron out issues due to the multitude of PC configurations so it depends a bit on feedback from the above.

Hopefully not too much longer.

Best,

David
