Plug ins
« on: May 06, 2009, 09:10:51 am »

Hello this is my first post and so please advise me if this topic has already been discussed and point me to the post.

I have been playing around with demo plug in software as I need to re size files in Aperture and Photoshop as well as better or should that be faster tools in Photoshop and just better in Aperture.

Genuine Fractals constantly crashes in Photoshop (CS3 up to date) and the one comparison I was able to make with a re sized Photoshop file has not shown me any difference worth paying for. Why does this plug in get recommended? The files were up re sizes from 128 ppi to 600 ppi but the image sizes were reduced by about 40%.
This is the native input file size for art media in a Canon iPF6100.
Works fine in Aperture.

Nik Silver efex for b/w conversions works well in Aperture, not tried it in PS yet. This I may buy.

The large file requirement for the iPF6100 is a topic I will post in the relevant forum as it seems bizarre.
