32 / 48Gb card experience anyone?

time for some new cards - large ones. Anyone got a fast 32/48Gb CF card experience to recommend (or not)?
am tired of paying $400+ for a Sandisk latest Extreme Whatever, only to have it be $60 a few months later - so maybe Transcend or A-Data or Pretec or ?

Have been using 32GB OEM High Speed CF card (bought from eBay) with my Phase One P30 back for more than 6 months.

Happy and satisfied so far.

I have been using 32GB cards from Transcend (currently worth 65US$) on a D3/D3x for more than one year and have had no problem whatsoever.

They are a bit slow compared to the fastest cards, but still good enough, not sure why anyone but sport folks need to spend 10 times the price on Sandisk or other brands. I guess that the double CF slot of the Nikons in back up mode helps here though.

maybe I was jumping the gun on all the stuff I'd read about ultra big ultra fast cards (48 or 50Gb or even 100Gb)
it appears they aren't readily available yet, despite being announced in Sept. '08.

more Vapor-ware than reality, sadly.
