Hi to all,

Does the LX-3 include a ND filter like the "G familly" of Canon ?

Now I think I cannot buy a new compact camera without that feature.

You have to buy it separately, with an adapter.

Thanks, I've just discovered that !

But I didn't know that it requires an adapter.

Frankly, an integrated ND filter coupled with anti-shake is very interresting.

Especially if you can put in On by pressing only 2 buttons.

You can easily shoot waterfalls at 1/5 or 1/6 sec.

The LX3 is an odd camera. You have to remove a threaded lens barrel ring first, before you add the adapter. Not very convenient. One plus with the LX3 is the lenscap - with the cap on, the lens will not extend and jam up even if the camera is turned on accidentally while in pocket or bag, when the playback switch is on record.

I think as sensors improve they will simply be able to add ISO expansion which does the same thing as an ND filter. Imagine being able to choose 5 or 25 ISO!

Sensor will saturate !!!

ND filter is a very good solution to prevent that.
