I using a Mac G5 with a OS of 10.5. The finder has a folder called "Pictures" with 32GB of images . They appear to be copies of images that I have saved on my hard drive. I have no idea where they came from and would like to delete them. Would that create a problem for me?

Do you use Canon DPP Software with EOS utility? Often that program creates a folder named "Images".

If those files are backed up else where, go ahead and trash it. Of course, it may be re-created again if the above is your situation.

Move them to a temporary location and see if things work correctly.  Another way to move them is to rename the folder and see if anything breaks.  If it does, just change the folder name back.
