I think this scene has potential, but the roadway/ fence or whatever it is immediately behind the boats draws too much attention, so I'd try to zoom in closer and maybe move to more of an angle.  I'd also remove that float from the right hand side of the frame...

Thanks Mike ,when pointed out the improvement becomes obvious.Although I don't have the super duper photoshop tools I'll do some tweeking and re-post.

I don't agree. Depends on what you're trying to do. If you're trying to do pictorialism then you need to get rid of all the extraneous stuff like the roadway / fence and the float and, probably, soften the whole thing -- throw it a little out of focus -- make it look like a drawing. If you're trying to show a pathetic old boat in its current sad surroundings then the shot is well visualized. You don't get good pictures by thinking. You get good pictures by reacting.

There are a lot of details in this shot, many of which could distract the eye (or not, depending on how you look at it). Since this is a really nice photo, it would be interesting to see more than one version, if you could try some different edits.
