Stitching Options for Interior Photography?
« on: January 29, 2009, 11:08:32 pm »

Hi there,

I've been reading the forums for sometime now but this is my first post, hope to learn more from everyone here.

Anyway, I'm currently trying to do more interior and architectural photographs and I'm trying to squeeze more MP out of my D3 (a D3x is out of the question for the next year or so   ).

I'm currently stitching photos by shifting my nikkor TS lenses and then stitching the resulting images together, but these has proved to be a nightmare when it comes to tighter interiors.

I was wondering if a spherical pano head (like that from really right stuff) is the way to go. Are there any problems with spherical stitching when it comes to tight interiors? What are my options if I wanted to do planar (flat) stitching instead?

Any advice?

Thanks a lot!
Ervine Lin

PS: Here's some work I've done for the local architecture magazine here in sunny Singapore
