Taking the P65+ out for a test ride
« on: December 02, 2008, 09:53:30 pm »

I am currently out in the Sierra's with Jack and Guy taking a pre-production P65+ out for a test ride. We will be putting this back through its paces along with a P25+ and P45+ over the next few days. There were many who probably wanted to do this test, but time did not allow it. I figured that Guy and Jack with their experience as being owners of the P+ series backs and also being workshop instructors would know what to do in putting it through its paces.

I have started a new blog entry on our site @ http://www.captureintegration.com/category/lance/
and they will also be documenting it at http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4333 , please check it out.

We will also be posting images here.

More to follow tomorrow.

Is that a phantom image of a Chevrolet telephoto lens mounted on that Mamiya body? Were you shooting on the Ghost Ranch?

No at Chinese Camp down the road a piece from the cabin we are staying. While they were building the railroads in California during the Gold Rush , the Chinese laborers lived here in this camp. There was church here and some old graves.

More to follow. That does look like a new un-released lens though.

Here are a few shots from the P25+,P45+ and P65+ that were taken today from the same position, just switching the backs from the PhaseOne Body and 80mm D lens.
This shows you the size difference between the sensors. We used the appropriate ICC profiles for each back. (i know the color is off between the sensors, we did white balance off the same post). These are not perfect, nor did we try to make them to be.
These are 1/64th original size of each sensor so you can visualize the different file sizes.
