Just updated everything --  Vista x64, z3100 new fw, new drivers, HP APS 1.4. While profiling HP APS printed 9.18 chart on a 24" roll of paper and then built a profile -- it's all OK. But I wanted to dry it more -- so one day later I reloaded that only 24"-wide sheet and tried to create profile. Printer got it, software asked for 1/2 sheet, printer did it's job and software asked second page -- but there's no one! I was wating a lot -- printer gone to sleep, I reloaded the same page again -- it did something a bit and then built unusable profile.

Is it possible to use a roll to profile?

I profile with roll paper and APS all the time.

When you printed the target did you specify to APS that you wanted a target that could be read later?

Yes, I selected "both options", wich stands for "optimize for paper width" and "cut to allow remeasure"

Hi SergeI
Is it possible that you printed one size target, then tried to measure a larger target?

Did the printed target have text at the bottom, or just the color patches?

William,

I don't have an option to select a size of a measured sheet -- printer just loads it, I open the program (new 1.4 version) and then software do the rest (at least it's trying ,) -- that's all. And yes, the target has a text at the bottom with date, paper used and so on.

May be I should try to open the program at first and load a target after it asks... I'll check it tomorrow.

No success. The software "wants" second sheet. But printer seems to be OK with the target -- it reads it all. I tried to select "roll" while loading target -- but then printer failed at the end of process.

I tried two targets -- one on 24 inch paper and second on 19", both are printed with "Optimized for paper width" and "Cut to allow remeasure" options.

I have sometimes had trouble with "Optimized for paper width" I don't use it anymore, just print with "cut to allow remeasure. It's a pain!
