Human nature would make you think that of course Phase One is pissed. Here Phase One has the gumption to pick out the Ugly Duckling Mamiya at the high school prom, and then dresses her up, and sends her out for Botox and a Gym Membership, and then slides a ring on her finger which enables Phase to slap their last name on the front of the Mamiya, and then, here comes Mickey Rourke, the old boyfriend, back from the dead and smelling like cheap whiskey, slinking in like it was just yesterday, like the love still existed, and now Rourke wants to sneak off the Mamiya body for a roll in the hay at the local Days Inn.

I'm not in any way taking up for Phase One, but if I had paid a stack of invoices for Mamiya Botox and Tummy Tuck, I'd lock her in the basement and not let her out.

Funny, but sad and probably true. Things are quite a bit wacky in the MFDB world of late and I'm sure it's only going to get worse for a bit. Me, I'm renting for the time being because I'd rather go stag to the hop and I know I'll put out.

As a Mamiya user, I saw this announcement this morning.  Looks to be a partnering with Leaf.  Wonder if Phase One is angry now that it appears to not be an exclusive deal for AFD III iterations.

A not too silly question... what makes this a "Mamiya digital kit" when the Leaf is by far the most expensive part in it???

For anyone buying, is it not wiser to buy direct from Leaf who provide support for that expensive part...?

b.t.w. I use AFDIII with a A65 from Leaf.

The Mamiya DL28 it's again online... Let's see what PhaseOne does...but, remember that the P30 it's a 31megapixels but It has microlenses!! The Aptus-II 6 doesn't have microlenses, so good point for the use in the view camera at a very affordable price! Hasselblad-31, PhaseOne P30 and Sinar HY6-s65r have all microlenses...

In the US the MAC group is the agent for Mamiya, Leaf, Profoto plus others. This is why they can put a package like this together with one of the best support in the industry. At $14999.00 this is a great deal since it is the latest version of Aptus 6 back.
