Horseman SWD 2 pro suitable for architectural work
« on: September 01, 2008, 07:17:48 am »

Hi Guys,

Is the Horseman SWD 2 pro suitable for architectural work, doing verified photographs specifically, with say the 35/4.5 Apo Sironar Digital lens? I would use it with the P25+ phase one back (which i currently use with the Mamiya AFDII)

Does a system like that provide all the movements you'd need?

BTW I know nothing about architectural photography!

i should add that 'verified photos' is taking photos that can map exactly on to an architects 3D model without having to resort to distortion in photoshop!

the MF board is where people know about cameras like this

WOW, I am not sure whether you can actually superimpose your photograph on Architectural 3D model, as their 3D model may have a variety of vanishing points, depending on the dimensions of the bldg itself. Though they sholud be able to supply you with where exactly their 3D model was created from & angle of view, that might help. Personally I would take a sample test with a rental before plunking down a lot of money.
