Bespoke digital back adapter for Bronica GS

Hi all, I'm trying to consolidate kit and in the process have come up with this...ahem... great idea to have a custom digital back adapter plate made for my bronica GS-1 and P25 (V-mount).

I can't think why this wouldn't be possible, but where can I get one made, and how much do you think it would cost? If I could get the necessary dimensions I could commission a local business to do the metalwork... assuming they can machine to 0.1mm tolerances.

has anyone had an adapter made for them? How'd it turn out?

thanks, but I've tried them. They've even stopped the SQ adapter they used to make and only offer the ETRS adapter now.

any other suggestions?

P25 requires two signals to fire. A wakeup signal and a capture signal.

So unless you plan on manually waking the back up your plan will not work.

A more recent Phase or any Leaf back would not require a wakeup signal and could be sync'd using the Bronica flash port.

You should consider using a Sinar eMotion back. It already uses adapter plates so all you'll need to do is create your own GS adapter (if there is sufficient space). The Sinar also works with just a simple sync cable if required.

The sinar 54H is also easy to mount if a firewire tethered solution is ok for you and probably cheaper than the eMotion,
All the Sinar camerabacks up to that manufacture time including the eMotion and the eSprit 65 have removable adaptors with rear connections for the the electronics. The 54m,75,86h and also the new eXact have electronic contacts so directly connecting with a plate isn't really an option and modification of an existing adaptor is probably the only option.
