Dear Ben

STOP - don’t do this to your self - your photography (looking at your website - lifestyle) is just fine, honest and natural.

I simply don’t get it guys, how come mediocre lingerie photography suddenly becomes something to admire. I my world this photography Mr. Doorhof represents is just soul less, artificial, pretentious BS.

I was with the impression that all here had agreed not and never make such comments, and to simply keep this tread as for what it is meant: sharing images, showing new work and giving advices as for how the images are taken.

I would suggest to simply ignore these comments, as for what they are: misplaced.

Take a look at my site and see there is alot more going on than what you describe, and in all good respect why do I deserve this ?
Am I playing a jerk, am I putting down people ?
Why the big stab ?

I really don't get this, I always try to be nice to people, answer everything they ask me and keep always respect for everyone.
I think posts like these will scare away the people that count for forums like this and leave it to the people who are only out to destroy things, such a shame.
There is enough negativity in the world, let's keep this part of it clean.

Your work looks wonderful, it's a totally different area of photography.
It's like comparing doing architecture with urban shooting, although they both have buildings the way to represent them is totally different, as is the intension of the shots and the market.

I LOVE to do lifestyle shooting but I have more work in the fashion department.
Things like this are done on a VERY RARE occasion, I hardly do nudes or bodypaints, that's why I was pleased with these shots, my passion however lies in the fashion shooting and sometimes a bit of glamour.
This is to be exact my second bodypaint shoot ever.

On the workshops, I'm in LA on the 7th and 8th for two workshops if you are interested just let me know.

 Hear, Hear, Frank keep up the excellent work. Love the lighting AND the shots of last quad-set you put up. Like Henry said, would love to hear your selection of equipment for those shots. I also agree with EVERYTHING Henry said.
