Be specific (left or right image in certain samples) because some editorials are shot with both canon and leaf.

Great shots, but lets not go there on DSLR v Digital back. All of the posted images in this thread could of been shoot on anything the photographer chooses. It's not the point is it?

Two cars. A Ford Fiesta and a Ferrari.

They both drive past at 100KP/H

Which one was the ferrari ?

Of course one cannot tell without more information - 100Kp/H - is within the capabilities of both

Lovely images though and it shows that there is so much more to photography than the camera.

My hass has good synch speed and 25ISO and my nikon has a 600f4 and 1000=ISO - different tools

Anyone who thinks MF is about image quality or maybe extreme long exposures or whatever who doesnt print exhibition size is surely a mug

Did anyone see the FS post by Mr Tuckers 'mate'

My recent work this year - All D3 - but that will change in the summer when the sun comes out

Rainer Nice shot's..
I just shot in a location for the last 4 days like that and the whole time was wishing I did some bracketed Background shots to run them through HDR type program.. But I was too busy shooting Fashion catalogue and my tripod mount screwed stripped on my 1DsMII So I could not use the tripod for long exposure ..:+{
May I ask what HDR program you are using? Photomatix...?

Hasselblad just announced their Master 2008 winners. My attention was captured by the winer of Upcoming category http://www.augustbradley.com/. I have not seen his work before but was very impressed with his vision. Some great images there, well worth seeing.

On the other hand I personally can not comprehend the winning of http://www.morfijimenez.com/ from Peru in the Portrait category. I most likely do not understand the artistry or innovation of his work and thus can not appreciate it. Would someone here please point to me the high points as you see them. I know that photography is very subjective but I really, truly want to learn here.

I agree, August Bradley images are amazing.
I really liked Julia Fullerton-Batten's work. Very nice and original images too.
On the contrary, Kevin Then was very disappointing in my opinion. I just can't understant it...

Actually I think all the winners were very disappointing this year. The level is WAY lower than previous years. Take the winner of Fashion & Beauty, Andrej Kopac, for example. As far as I can see on his site he hasn't done a single real fashion or beauty story. What was the jury thinking?
