GPS with Canon 1ds Mark III

Is anybody working with the new 1ds Mark II or 1 D Mark III and a GPS device ?

So far I have understood you need the WFT-E2 and then you can attach a gps device (Garmin ?) Are there other options  ?

I have worked with log files of my Garmin CS 60 and software to get gps data to the files of my 5D,  while this works, it is cumbersome, because you have to be careful about the log files on garmin devices to not loose your time data. A device directly linked to the camera takes away some of the hassles but is with garmin devices very unpractical due to the size of the garmin devices. A solution like this for nikon looks much better to me:

There are several devices, which don't require any connectivity with the camera.  You sync the time in the camera and GPS and after the fact software matches the time to the gps coordinates which are recorded by the device every minute or so.

Tim, I think that it DOESN'T work on Raw Files....check first that it will work for you.

Check this, you need a GPS, if you have one already then it is cheap.
