C1Pro 3.7.8 and C1 V4
« on: April 08, 2008, 02:52:37 pm »

Hello All,

Quick Question.

I have yet to play with C1 V4 because I don't want to throw my machines into a tizzy.  What is the install protocol on installing V4 on a machine running 3.7.8?

Any precautions I should take?

I recall when it first came out it was throwing 3.7.8 out of whack.  Is this still the case?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had no trouble, I think that was a beta issue.

I have both installed, and apparently both working properly, on Vista and Leopard. No Precautions required (apparently!)

No problem with the 3.7.x and v 4.0.1 on the same computers (both Intel and G5 Macs).

I run both in parlallel and see not problems, other than even 2 gigs of ram is really challanged for V4 if you run other aps in the background.

Personally, I like V4 a lot and in procesising phase files love the color look.  Yes it could use a few more updates, like single channel color control, but the previews are very nice and the processing in super fast.
