Z3100 canvas options

(1/1)

damdeziner:
A client of mine is requesting a sizable run on a canvas material (stretcher bar- gallery wraps). Regarding an HPZ3100 24" printer and the best possible color gamut, what product have you had good success with? Are the "HP" canvas choices a good option?
I did a search on the forum but came away with vague clues? I figure there has to be plenty of operators printing on canvas with great results?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Dave

Here are two answers I got asking the similar question.

BTW, I am trying the Breathing Color White Chromata Canvas and it is really good.

The HP Professional Matte Canvas works and so does (intellicoat) Magicle Torino 17M, spraying Lascaux waterbased acrylic varnish 2060 and 2061 matte with a gun. The varnish gives better protection, a wider gamut, better Dmax. With one type available you can still deliver more finish grades.

I'm using Breathing Color Chromata White canvas on my 44" z with their Glamour II varnish (sprayed with an HVLP gun - two coats) and the results are stunning - literally as good as when printed on normal photo paper. The d-max is amazing (after you apply the varnish), and even with matte black ink. They also have a glossy version but it adds a bit of glare to an already perfect finish so I just use the regular...

I will second my emotion quoted above...

I agree with what's been said and will add:

Breathing Color Chromata White is so far the best for me.

Coming in second is Fredrix 901 IJ (Inkjet) Canvas.  Has practically the same everything.
(much less expensive)
