Camera to Print video question?
« on: August 01, 2007, 06:41:12 pm »

Hi

I am considering buying but I have a couple of concerns.

I have viewed the 'taster' video fine on my Win2K system and I run QT version 7.1.3  However, I see version 7.2 is advised/recommended/required (?) but this as stated on the apple site is for XP or Vista.

So, rather than installing yet another viewer of those listed on the FAQs page wil the movies run under 7.1.3 and/or will v7.2 install OK under Win2K ?

TIA

Yes, it will run, but there may be an audio issue.

Why not just download the latest Quicktime? It's always a good idea to have the latest version of these standard utilities.

Hi Michael

Thanks for the quick feedback and I would have no issue with latest v7.2 other than as I remarked it is only for XP or Vista not Win2K.

Looks like I am going to be left behind until I upgrade my OS.

However, I did download the LR 1.1 free tutorial and see that also is in H264 format and this seems to play OK.  Is that of the same "standard" as the Cam2Print files?

Yes, it's H264, but there are other differences. Chris is always "tweeking" the encoding. I can't answer definitively if you'll have a problem or not, but I doubt it. If you do, we'll provide a full refund.

Thanks again for the speedy reply.  I have in the meantime purchased and am starting my series of downloads.

I will let you know whether all is well or not as the case maybe.
