Guilin, the best place for shooting
« on: June 24, 2007, 09:14:13 pm »

Guilin has always been in China for its scenery with historical and cultural relics. It enjoys the reputation that Guilin has the best scenery under heaven.

The scenery of Guilin is unlike that of any other city on Earth. Its peaks rise as suddenly from the Earth as trees in a forest, these craggy peaks and pillars of limestone must have been the models for the traditional landscapes painted for centuries on silk scrolls.

Located in the northeast of Guangxi, it has population over 600,000, consists of main 4 ethnic groups, such Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Dong, living in the area of 565 square kilometers. Because of the subtropical location, the climate of Guilin is humid, wet with a rich rainfall, the annual average temperature is 19C, the coldest month with average 4-8C, and the hottest month is from 26 to 30C.

Guilin possesses five famous virtues: spectacular caverns, pretty rock promontories, fragrant osmanthus, green hills and clear waters. Here are some Pictures of Guilin

I like trains.  Trains go fast.  One day I would like to ride on a train.  Train.  Meow.
