Hi
From what I can understand, this lens will work on the ADFII & some ZDs. With a free camera firmware upgrade, this lens will work on the other Zds & 645AFD. There is a fee to upgrade the 645AF body.
Thanks Denis

Off topic but I wanted to say you have great stuff on your website, I am very impressed. And I have been a Livebooks customer almost since they started.

Hi
Thank you. Yes we are very happy with Livebooks also. I have come accross what I think is a good deal on ebay for a Leaf 22 mp back. We used this back for our Tim Tam shots & the Aptus 22 uses the same chip as does the ZD.

[a href=\"http://cgi.ebay.com/Mamiya-645AFD-SLR-Camera-with-Leaf-Valeo-22-Wi-Back-Kit_W0QQitemZ260111960362QQihZ016QQcategoryZ30020QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem]http://cgi.ebay.com/Mamiya-645AFD-SLR-Came...1QQcmdZViewItem[/url]

This is really for teathered shooting if you want to see your images right away.[

Hi,
I have a 75-150 here for review from Mamiya.
I will be taking it with me this weekend on a small trip.
Will post some pictures when I get back.

It's expensive indeed on the other hand it's a zoom than can replace several lenses, I will test it against the 120mm Macro f4 which I love by the way, only got the system one week but already in love with the contrast and detail of that lens, but at the moment my only comparison is the 80mm kitlens, which is nice but much softer than the 120mm.

@MCfoto, great shots on your site.

Greetings,
Frank

Mamiya made a older 75-150, it is a manual lens and was made for the older Pro Model. I don't know how long they made them, but I finally got one from ebay, at a great price of $150. It don't seems to be as sharp as some of their other lenses but you can bring the sharpness up by using unsharp mask. The reason I am bring this up is that it seems everyone is looking at the new 75-150 AF lens and the much higher price it seems to cost. I hope the newer lens has been redesign and is much sharper then the manual version.

Mamiya 75-150 lens review

Well we arrived at our weekend location and because I sometimes have internet access here I decided to start with some small notes on the lens.

The first impression is that the lens is very well build, but okay I expected that of course.
The lens is not small but to be honest the whole combination is nicely balanced.
Autofocus is fast and accurate even in some low light and highcontrast settings I tried it on.
I can't give judgment over image quality yet because I run from a laptop now.

The lens hood is a very tight fit something I absolutly love from the Mamiya system but also sometimes find a bit hard to turn, however I had the same with my 80mm and 120mm and after a few days the system loosend a bit up which meant it was much easier to turn and change the hood from the normal position to the turn arround position I use to store my camera in the bag.

The reach from 75-150 is very nice, it's not really wide but as a walkarround lens it gives for MY shooting style a perfect balans between close up and overview shots, one very pleasing detail is the focus distance, with 50cm this is really a nice heads up for close ups.
I sometimes do miss the 3-4x zoom from the canon system but on the other hand the picture is what I eventually want and the Mamiya is so much better there I can easily adjust my style for this Cheesy

So after the weekend I will post the examples and more of my findings, sorry to keep you waiting for that long Cheesy

Greetings,
Frank

Hi
I just found that on Franks site. Cost wise I have heard L&P will be selling it for $5300.00 AUD with out GST. That is an Australian price & this will be the most expensive zoom of the Mamiya range. You can offset the price by picking up some lenses on ebay.

My dealer told me I had to send the camera in for the upgrade. It is not user installable unfortunately.

Hi Frank
Thank you so much for your review of both the ZD back & 75-150 lens. I own a ZD camera. How did you find the iso 200 as you think the iso has improved on the ZD back?

It should be the same as on the ZD camera.
I find ISO200 to be usable without a doubt, anything above is usable after a little noiseninja, but I have to say I like my shots completly noise free.
