Not TOO many changes
« on: April 25, 2007, 07:13:39 pm »

The list of wished-for Lightroom changes and enhancements are understandable, especially the wish for more speed; but I would hate to see Lightroom become a huge (expensive) clunker like Photoshop. If you need Phtooshop, then you should use it; Photoshop and Bridge are a viable alternative to LR, for people who need heavier-duty options. But I personally would hate to see a fairly sleek progam get cluttered up with every piece of photo manipulation software that somebody thinks he/she needs; I would rather see the basic program strengthened, with not much more than there is already, and then have a menu of plug-ins that people could buy or acquire separately as they need them. I started with Photoshop 3 or 4, back many years ago, and one of my problems with Photoshop now is that I literally can't find stuff without looking in the manual. I'd really like to see them keep Lightroom fairly simple.
