Searching for a Color-Accurate Display

This inquiry dovetails one of my earlier posts regarding my search for a new Mac. Well, I decided on an Apple Studio M2 which, of course, requires a separate display. For photo processing, several brands seem to be consistently mentioned:  BenQ, Eizo, Dell, Asus & Apple's Studio display. Over the years, I have always respected the views of the participants on this forum. So I once again turn to you for your experienced thoughts & recommendations.

My search for a display to be used for post processing is based upon color accuracy, a minimum size of 27" & price. To be specific, color accuracy must cover the RGB colorspace. (I was surprised to see that BenQ's sub-$1,000 displays did not cover the entire RGB colorspace). A match between screen & print is important to me.

Screen size is important for aging eyes. I need something larger than my old calibrated NEC MultiSync P221W which has served me well.

Finally, I would like to keep the price less than $1,200. I do not do a lot of printing. But whenever I do, I send my work to a lab whenever I need both printing & mounting. 

So, since many of you have far more experience in this area than I, your recommendations on a display would be most welcomed. Thank you so much.

degrub: Thank you for the lead. As far as the Apple Studio display is concerned, since I Plan to get the Studio M2 computer, it should work seamlessly.

Speculation but something to consider:

New Apple displays
The current Apple Studio Display will be three years old in March 2025. The current Pro Display XDR will turn six years old in 2025 as well. These displays need to be updated, the Pro Display XDR, especially. The M4 MacBook Pro features mini-LED displays that use quantum dot technology to improve color accuracy. That sounds ideal for a new ProDisplay XDR, along with a ProMotion-style higher refresh rate. The launch of a new display is harder to pin down, but we expect the Studio Display alongside the Mac Studio and the Pro Display XDR to arrive with the new Mac Pro.

Thanks. Point well-taken. However, since technological change never seems to be static, even waiting for the upcoming iteration of new hardware cannot stop obsolescence from setting in shortly. And, as someone so sagely said: "At my age, I don't even buy green bananas"!

Has anyone had any experience with the BenQ SW272Q 27" display (especially paired with the Apple Studio M2 computer)? The reviews & the specs seem quite favorable for a display assumingly developed for photographers.

i think that is the 2022 -V version. The one with part number -V-W is from 2023 according to a FAQ/Q&A answer on the LG website for the -V-W model. Difference in cables included and maybe ports. It also stated that the USB C port does not support DisplayPort Alt mode so cannot chain DP output to  another monitor, if that is of concern.

Yes, it looks the same - it has new IPS Black panel with slightly higher CR, and 3D LUT hardware calibration via LG Studio software that works very good.

Don't know if it is a big point, but I read that for connecting a 31-32 inch screen to a mac it is better to have a 5K-6K screen rather than a 4K screen.
Apple likes to double the pixels to get a relaxt screen with clean fonts that are not too small. With a 4 K screen they might look a bit soft, because of not enough pixels - or far too small.
I have no experience with it so maybe somebody can tune in to correct me.
