Daidochromes (iPhone)
« on: September 05, 2024, 06:25:12 am »

Not sure whether it's possible to categorise any of what may or may not follow (from me) as street, but let's just say the frames are shot in the great outdoors, have nothing - spìritually speaking - to do with rocks, trees, rivers nor, for that matter, the great American West.

As a matter of interest, do Ivo and Stamper live here any longer?

I haven't seen Stamper in a long time.

Thanks, francois. We used to argue, but more importantly I liked much of his work. I hope he is okay, just AWOL.

Both superb!

To be honest, I also miss Stamper…

I like them too. On the second one, it looks like there's fire behind the house... probably only city lights.

A far cry from the sweet smells and feel of the darkroom, where even the same music reverberated through my head differently. Which could take us into the fight between vinyl, cassette and digital, but not today.

Oh well, no need to stock different grades of WSG anymore. I can feel Kodak's pain.

Funny creatures, those little things. This one - or at least its fellow tribal members - seems to have taken a liking to the table on my terrace, where I eat. They jump incredible jumps. They also give me unwanted worries: I stack the chairs at night to prevent the wildlife - usually feral cats - from using the seats as safe houses or hidden command posts from which to spot the early birds or, possibly, on which to make noisy cat love when that time is due. As the spiders also like to spend time on the frames of the chairs, I try to avoid making them the meat in a leg sandwich as I stack them. I don’t even like spiders. We used to have lots of large ones that would come up from the gardens at night, but as we had a sprinkler system installed some years ago, the water seems to have discouraged them. A nice, unexpected bonus.

A very nice set of images, I like them a lot. I can find some similarities in shapes and lines on different photos (like those bottles and the boat's hulls - D4890).
Well done again Rob.

Thanks, francois. Why does a man make a shadow like a fast aeroplane?

Wonderful boogie woogie piano player, but she can't sing. It's lost in translation into American.

Photoshop games with screen grab and original structure standing in field. Oh well.

She can't sing indeed, maybe because of her accent?
