DXO4 pure raw is released
« on: March 15, 2024, 03:04:34 pm »

I just tried DXO4 pure raw for the first time and it has improved on speed and detail with high iso images again.
With the competition of Adobe NR and Topaz denoise they had to make it faster and indeed it is now as 'fast' as Adobe NR ( about 20 sec 46mp on my computer)

The difference between adobe and DXO is there but small. DXO seems to have better detail and adobe better colour in the very high iso's - that is all i can say for now.
-anyway it amazing to see that both can turn a impossible grainy 102400 asa images into a decent A4 print and retain even colour.
It gives new life to the small sensor camera's like the Nikon 1 camera i have. 1600 asa looks still great.

I just upgraded from version 3. Love it!

I use it as a plug-in for Lightroom Classic. I have processed old Canon and Fuji-X raw files and they look great! My current cameras are a Leica M11, Hasselblad X2D and Leica SL-3. Unfortunately, version 4 doesn't yet support my new Leica SL3 DNG files, but the other two camera files look great after processing with the new version. Highly recommended.
