This photograph has bugged me...
« on: February 16, 2024, 07:34:30 pm »

...ever since I tried to process it late in 2022. I decided to rework it from the standpoint of the things I have learned in the last year. I think I'm finally satisfied... somewhat ;)

Thank you. IDK what you're talking about ;) Fixed it with a magenta overlay.

I like it. Is the "green cast" due to the presence of grass? Seems like the hills, or parts of them, are covered with it.

Hellish processing. Try again. Try different white balances, for instance. Or just shoot another one. Not every picture is worth the trouble.

Like how it is - according to photoshop it is red-yellowish compared to neutral...
In film they call a deliberate colorcast 'grading'... nothing wrong with that and  this could be a reaistic colorcast.

Thanks, Kers. I was indeed going for a warm hue.

David, I never view your work as trying to reproduce what was there.  I enjoyed looking at
this image.

In my humble opinion,.. if the waters can be improved,  then the rest of your capture will align a bit better. for us to enjoy.

Thanks for you comment, Leszek. I've moved on from this with a color course from f.64 Academy, which has helped.
