i1Pro2 driver
« on: November 07, 2023, 12:20:33 pm »

I just received an i1Pro 2 from ebay. It did not come with any software in which to load the hardware's drivers. I'm on a win10-64 system. I plan to use this to read target patches in either ColorPort or i1Profiler. Is there a way to get drivers for this?

All you should need is i1Profiler (and a dongle/license for it).

Yep. And the license is often built into the i1pro2. But even if unlicensed, you can still use i1profiler to print/read patches. Just can't make a profile from them. You can, however, export the patches to the free argyll.

It's not quite as easy to find the drivers now X-Rite have been taken over/re-branded.
Have a look at https://www.xrite.com/service-support/product-support/formulation-and-qc-software/i1profiler that should allow you to download Profiler. Install that and it should also install the necessary drivers for the hardware.
The software won't work without a dongle or a spectro that has the licence code installed, but the hardware should work with other software like Argyll once the drivers have been installed.

You might have difficulties with Colorport now, it's stopped working on W10 here.

The OP has a Spectrophotometer. The message in i1P is about the old Colorimeter. AND they have a software product for that.

Argyll brings its own driver for the i1pro in case you plan to use it.
