A new home page

I have been putting together a new home page for my photography site, more dynamic than the current static page. I'd welcome any comments or suggestions. Thanks.

I found one thing about navigation that seems odd. I kind of expect that clicking on the right arrow icon or tapping the right arrow key would do the same thing but they don't. Tapping the key shows the next picture but clicking on the right arrow icon moves the entire panel over. OTOH, I can see where it would be handy to move the entire panel sometimes.
