Olmec/Innova
« on: August 17, 2023, 07:04:22 am »

Innova papers seem to be harder to find in the UK at the moment, particularly the Exhibition Photo Baryta. My dealer has offered me instead the Olmec Photo Silk, which they claim is identical in every respect. Does anyone know anything about this brand?
Thanks,
Alex

Specs look the same according to plot-it.co.uk. Thickness, brightness, weight. Coating type are both described as "microporous silk" but surface texture are "ultra smooth" vs "smooth satin." May still be the same though.

If the Exhibition Photo Baryta is anything like Canson  Baryta, there have been delays with stock coming into the UK, since April. Seems a delivery is due at the distributors this week.

Olmec is a sub-brand of Innova. I'm not saying Olmec Photo Silk is Innova Exhibition Photo Baryta. But it's possible.
