Lying in Wait
« on: June 28, 2023, 11:46:51 pm »

Peter Ait's recent post with a picture of a flower with a small buggy interloper reminded me of a related photo that I took many years ago. A little searching turned it up.
Flowers, it seems, are more dangerous places than one might have imagined.

Love the colors and composition. Is that a jumping spider?

Bob, Eric, and Francois, thank you for commenting. In some ways it was a lucky find; you never know what will reveal itself when you start looking through the lens at the macro level.

I don't think so. I don't have pictures of it from different angles, but from what I can see I believe it may be a Cross Orbweaver Spider.
