Hawaiian Fantasy
« on: December 01, 2022, 04:08:08 am »

Every year I spend time in Oahu and the other Hawaiian Islands.  I think of all of the places on earth Hawaii conjures up the most fantasies in people's imagination.  I always wondered how to visually capture this fantastical sense.  I think this image comes closest in my mind of achieving my goal without stooping to taking images of women doing the hula.

Comments welcomed.

Great image - geometry, balance, light, and the human element all come together beautifully.

Yes, every element is important and perfectly placed in the frame. The sweet light is just fantastic.
It's a very nice image, indeed!

Yes, to both earlier comments. (I'll also add that the cruise liner on the horizon is a nice touch.)

I agree with the previous comments.
And, of course, I look forward to your Hula shots, too.

Thanks, Rajan for your kind words.  francois and Bob, thanks for your comments.  Hey, Bob, without the cruise liner I'm not sure I would have kept the image.  Eric, I reserve my hula shots for a different web site.  I know that you are not the type of gentlemen who would want to visit it.
