So Apple says, the following Mac computers are officially supported by macOS Ventura:

•iMac (2017 and newer)
•iMac Pro (2017)
•Mac Pro (2019 and newer)
So what if you have a perfectly good machine going back to 2012 or a bit later and you don't want to junk it (or run it unsecured without the latest patches that aren't offered for it)?
The
Dortania folks have just released their OCLP app which makes it possible to run Ventura (and Monterey) on older Macs very easily. I've done it myself several times and it's great fun seeing the old Macs rise from the dead! Screenshot shows a 2013 iMac running the Ventura release.
There's no cost to do this other than needing a flash drive...
