Poor Display Quality of Images on LL
« on: November 27, 2021, 11:17:37 am »

On a website that showcases the very best of the cameras and lenses available today for digital imaging, I find it comical that the display quality of the images on the LL site is so poor across the board. Whether its Dan Wells over the moon description of the extraordinary image quality of the Fuji GFX 100s or the latest article about the Phase Achromatic IQ3 100 digital backs with technical cameras and Rodenstock lenses, the accompanying images look abysmal. Far worse than what my iPhone is capable of producing. Yes, I know that JPEGs on the web are not the ideal way to judge image quality, but really, there are many examples out there of web sites where the images look excellent. The LL site is the worst. The images look like a special Coke bottle filter was applied to the images in PS when they were prepared for the web.
