Searching for whole keywords only ??
« on: October 03, 2021, 05:22:00 am »

I'm trying to set up some smart collections, but being frustrated with Lightroom's search behaviour. In particular I can't find a way of searching for specific keywords that are part of longer keywords.
eg
France will also include Francesca
Pie includes Piero
Dell includes Della

In most search engines using a quotation mark works for limiting this eg "France" but that doesn't seem to work in LR, any knowledge of what I need to use please ?
Using multiple NOT operators wouldn't be very helpful.

LR6.14 on W10

TIA

I'm not sure about version 6.14, but in the actual version you can select "Contains Words" and it will bring back only exact matches (refer to the attached images)

Brilliant, that does the trick. Not exactly intuitive though.

Thank you for the fast reply :-)
