Dangars Falls - close detail
« on: March 16, 2021, 11:01:44 am »

Water cascading over rocks at Dangars Falls, near Armidale, New South Wales, Australia.

This wasn't a great place for a shot of the entire waterfall, but there were some interesting rocks halfway down which caught my eye.

A7r3 with 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM and 1.4x TC. Four stacked and averaged exposures at 552mm, f/11, 1/25s, ISO 50 (total exposure time 1/6).

I like it.
More interesting than the usual waterfall photo.

Focusing on a specific part of the falls adds power and leaves the uninteresting "features" outside of the frame.
I like it very much.
