Check to se how spooling for the printer is set up. You have a choice; start printing immediately, or wait till the entire file is loaded. YOu may have it set to the latter in which case it will take a long time before it starts printing.

I have tried that setting in the advanced tab of the windows driver but the file showed printed then just sat there in the Status Monitor without seeming to do anything for over 20 minutes until I cancelled it. When set to print directly to the printer, the print finally started printing after about 10 minutes but held up Qimage printing the next page until it was done printing.
In Status Monitor under driver properties it brings up a window called Device settings with nothing in it. Is that the way it is supposed to be.
It seems it is the Status Monitor that is causing this because 1. the Windows spooler seems to be passing the file along and 2. the behavior going to the Epson 9600 is not like this.
I can't believe this is normal behavior with Status Monitor on Windows since I don't see anyone else complaining about this. But then what some people are will to accept I wouldn't.
